- The Lanthony Desaturated
Test is much more difficult and is used to separate mild deficiency
from normal. Both of these tests provide basic color testing for
color sensitive industrial and military applications.
- The Farnsworth 100 Hue
Test examines hue discrimination ability often used in vocational
and diagnostic applications. The test has proven to provide reliable
results which can be applied to many occupational and psychological
situations. The Farnsworth 100 Hue test remains the most
comprehensive color vision test.
- The Roth 28 and Lanthony
40 Hue tests provide some greater sensitivity levels than the 15 hue
tests and are most often specified by clinical evaluations. The
Sahlgren's test also provides greater sensitivity due to its design.
- The Farnsworth D15 and
Lanthony D15 Tests from Richmond Products come in Plexiglas® boxes
which permit the patient to select the sequence of chips. Then the
box is closed and the selections can be read thru the bottom for
easy scoring. Because the box is closed, the score is preserved. The
older wooden boxes required that the scoring be determined with the
box flipped when open which left it vulnerable to spills.
- Both the Farnsworth and
the Lanthony D15 tests include:15 color discs, a laminated score
sheet, an instruction manual and 10 non-latex, lightly powdered
gloves to prevent direct contact with the color discs.
